Behind the church is the cemetery containing over 20 burials from the Second World War, most are shown in the photo above but some are elsewhere in the cemetery.
During both wars there was an active airfield just to the east of Crail, between 1939 - 1947 this was the base for the Royal Naval Air Squadron HMS Jackdaw where torpedo training took place. 16 personal from HMS Jackdaw are buried here.
